My Summer on Elba Island!

Hello there!

I am back from my holidays on Elba, the third largest in Italy after Sardinia and Sicily. Together with eight other islands, including Giglio, Giannutri and Montecristo, it is part of the National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago, the largest marine park in Europe.

The island of Elba is famous around the world for harboring French Emperor Napoleon in 1814 during his exile but what really makes Elba famous and renowned is its clear and blue sea and beautiful beaches.

The extraordinary richness of its landscapes, both land and marine, turns the island of Elba into a unique destination in Tuscany.

During my stay (10 days) I had the opportunity to visit the whole island (I strongly recommend to rent a scooter because there are only small parking areas, plus, on a scooter you manage to get to every part of the island in very little time!).

Here below is Sant Andrea, a beach on the north west part of the island. The water and landscape were amazing!

Here below is Laconella, I really liked it because of the fine sand and of the view that you can get if you climb some rocks behind the beach.

Here is Acquarilli! The view from above was stunning but once we followed the path to the beach we realized that there was no sand but black stones and the water wasn't clear :(

Here is Cavoli, one of the most famous beaches of the island! Amazing but often overcrowded.

Here below is my favourite beach, Le Ghiaie!
No sand but small white stones and a crystalline water made me fall in love with this place at first sight!

Review "Melted" liquid lipstick by Too Faced

Eccomi dopo tanto con un nuovo post! ;)
Oggi condivido con voi le mie opinioni sul rossetto liquido "Melted" tonalità "Peony" di Too Faced. Ho ricevuto questo campione contenente 5ml di prodotto grazie al sito BeautyTester.it ma il formato vendita contiene 11 ml di prodotto e ha un costo di 21 euro.

Il campione si presenta in un coloratissimo astuccio in cui sono riportate le seguenti info:

Colorazione (nel mio caso “Peony”)

Quantità prodotto contenuto
Breve descrizione dell’innovativo applicatore e della tecnologia sviluppata da Too Faced per creare un rossetto liquido.

Di seguito la descrizione della linea “Melted” sul sito Sephora :

“Con Melted, Too Faced ha ideato una soluzione rivoluzionaria per conservare il rossetto allo stato liquido, conservando ai massimi livelli l’intensità, i pigmenti e la brillantezza e offrendo al contempo una texture morbida e soffice, gradevole sulla pelle“

La colorazione “Peony” è un rosa pieno molto bello. Con una passata si ottiene una colorazione molto leggera, quasi un gloss, mentre è necessario ripassare il colore un paio di volte per ottenere un colore pieno, uniforme e vibrante.

L’applicatore a spugnetta è molto pratico anche per ritocchi veloci quando si è fuori casa. Per far fuoriuscire il prodotto è necessario premere leggermente il tubetto e il colore esce direttamente nell’applicatore. Ho apprezzato molto questo sistema perchè molto utile per chi è sempre di corsa come me

Per quanto riguarda la durata non sono pienamente soddisfatta. Il prodotto dopo circa un’ora (senza mangiare o bere) fa seccare le labbra e si insinua nelle pieghette creando un effetto esteticamente non bello e una sensazione, per chi lo indossa, non molto piacevole (vedi immagine sotto). Mangiando o bevendo inoltre il prodotto tende a trasferirsi ed è necessario riapplicarlo.

Ho letto diverse opinioni su questi rossetti liquidi sul web e ho notato che il "Peony" è il rossetto che più tende a seccare le labbra tra tutte le 18 tonalità di colore disponibili.

Nel complesso è un rossetto che mi piace soprattutto per la sua praticità e anche se la durata non è estrema ha un’applicazione talmente semplice e veloce che il ritocco non pesa. Per il prezzo che ha comunque, non credo che lo riacquisterò.

Hi everyone!

Today I want to share with you some pics taken during my holidays on board Msc Preziosa!

Most people think that cruise holidays are most suitable to families or couples looking for relaxation but I can confirm that this kind of holiday is perfect for teens and young people too as it is offers the opportunity to visit several cities (and countries) in very little time and to have an amazing time on board.

On board Msc Preziosa in particular you can't get bored: gym, spa, jacuzzis, pools, theater, Formula 1 simulator, 4D cinema are just some of the activities MSC has organized for its guests and let me say that a week cruising the Mediterrean is an unique experience to try at least once in life! :)

Perfect Summer Escape - Portofino!

Hi sweeties!

Unfortunately I'm not able to post very much these weeks... I'm very busy but I'm trying to organize and plan my agenda in order to save a couple of hours per week to dedicate to this blog (and to my Facebook, Polyvore and Instagram pages as well ;)).

These are two pics I took last Saturday while in Portofino.

In case you've planned to visit Portofino this Summer don't forget to take a swimsuit with you and to take at least 1h to lay on the beach of Paraggi or on one of the well-hidden beaches on the road that leads to Portofino and its famous restaurants and boutiques!

Good Morning!

It's been a long time since my latest post but these weeks have been very intense: I took an exam and then went off with my boyfriend to a 5 days cruise holiday in the Mediterrean on board MSC Lirica.

It was my first cruise and it's been such an amazing experience: we had time to relax, time to enjoy the delicious food served onboard by the amazing staff and time to visit all the ports: the journey began from our port, Genoa, then we moved to South Italy and reached Civitavecchia (we decided to go to Rome from this port as I had never been to my country's capital before!), then we moved to Dubrovnik and eventually Venice.

Streetfood: The best Km 0 hamburger in Genoa!

Today I dedicate a posti to Streetfood!

This hamburger is actually the best I've ever tried in my hometown Genoa! Everything, from the bread (I must add that for those who love bread as much as me - "Carbs? Who cares ;)"- is pure poetry) to the salad, the tomatoes and of course the meat are Km 0 products! Plus, if you are vegan you can always opt for a veg hamburger!
This is actually my favourite, crazy lunch when I have no inspiration for cooking or time to go to a bar or restaurant during my breaks!

You can find it in the amazing "caruggi"/"vicoli" of Genoa, the old centre of the city.
P.S. Every month a new special hamburger is created: this month it's the turn of "Amigu Charlie": the classical hamburger is filled with fresh avogado, guacamole, red lettuce and lime!

Genoese Cronuts!!!

Hi everyone it's a bit late for breakfast but I can definetely say that it's always time for a Cronut!

As you know Dominique Ansel is the inventor of this delicious croissant-doughnut hybrid.

Magazines report that at Dominique's shop in New York the queue of people waiting to taste them it's incredibly long.

I thought I had to wait until my first (not yet programmed) journey to the States to taste one of these desserts but a couple of days ago I found that a local coffee - bakery "Pasticceria Liquoreria Marescotti di Cavo" in the old centre of my town cook and sells them! :D

So here they are :)

Me and my boyfriend ate these two cronuts filled with cream (but they're also available with a chocolate filling).

What about the taste? So good, I didn't expect them to be so delicious!

I think the genovese air and a bakery with an old tradition always make a difference ;)

I love the geometric shades in both coral red or deep blue.
The only thing I dislike? Fur!
That's not ecologic fur, so I totally dislike it! I can only accept ecological items ;)

The post-holidays times are not easy ( even tough I had no holyday this Summer :(!)

Dolce e Gabbana loves Sicily

Stefano Dolce e Domenico Gabbana sono un pò ossessionati dalla Sicilia ma dobbiamo riconoscere che difficilmente potrebbe essere altrimenti considerando lo splendore di questo posto.
La collezione Dolce & Gabbana per quest'estate 2013 è piena di vita e qui di seguito vi propongo alcuni dei pezzi più importanti.
Mi piace molto il bodysuit del set perchè si può abbinare facilmente sia a jeans ultra skinny che ad una gonna.
I sandali presentano gioielli simili a rubini sulla parte anteriore che li rendono preziosissimi!
Infine, la piccola borsa rotonda è perfetta sia per il giorno che per la notte perchè dona personalità ad ogni look!
