Met Ball 2014: Ms and Mr Beckham

You might say she's too snob and he's too damn handsome for being a perfect couple but let's admit that on the Met Ball red carpet Ms and Mr Beckham did look amazing!
As you know I have a soft spot for Victoria. She always wears black and hardly ever smiles... A bit like me ;)
They critique her for being too posh (but am I the only one who prefers non-smiling women to illuminati puppets such as Miley?) and for wearing total black outfits and here I need to add my second comment: wearing black it's not a trend, for some people it's a choice and part of their lifestyle! 
Black it's not just the colour of punks and rockers black it's the color for timeless elegance.
I wear a lot of black and total black is one of my fav outfits. The reason in quite simple and it has to deal with psychology as well. As a shy person I tend to hide my body; I don't like wearing provocative dresses and showing too much skin. Black makes me feel comfortable and not at the centre of the attention; but this is just the less interesting part of the answer ;)
I wear black because I want people to notice my face ( I still think that the eyes are the mirror of the soul!) and above all my brain, my ideas when I speak.

 But let's go back to the main point.

 They're beautiful and in almost-total white ;) A bit of change it's just human! 
So welcome white and a long applause for Ms ans Mr Beckham who still share kisses on the carpet!)

Now that Johnny Depp has officially put a knot on Amber Heard we'll definetely hear more about her!
But what do you think of her style? 
I think she looks damn hot on the red carpet but what about her streetstyle?

A part for some occasions ( I'm not sure about the coat below :/!)
 I like her casual outfits ;)

Met Gala 2013: Confirmed Designers

The 2013 Costume Institute Benefit for the Metropolitan Museum of Art or just the Met Gala has just begun. This year celebs are going to celebrate the Punk: Chaos to Couture exhibit so we're expexting their look to be in line with a rock-punk style and this couldn't make me happier ;)
Here are the confirmed designer choosen by the celebrities:
Model Lily Cole will wear a dress by the most celebrated punk designer Vivienne Westwood, Julianne Moore will wear Balenciaga by Alexander Wang (let's remind that this is the first collaboration between Wang and the brand, the previous colaboration with Nicholas Gesquiere has ended with the last collection); Gisele Bundchen will wear Anthony Vaccarello while Miranda Kerr will wear Michael Kors, Emma stone will wear Tory Burch, the beautiful Amber Heard will wear Emilio Pucci and Anna Wintour will wear Chanel Couture.
But there's more!
The most important sponsor of the event, Moda Operandi has previously collaborated with Balmain and Nina Ricci, to mention but a few, to make the Red Carpet looks available for shopping!

 But this is not enough!
Some brands created some items inspired to the exhibit and to a strong punk attitude!                                                                                                                                                      Here are the Limited Edition heels by Charlotte Olympia (in collaboration with jewel designer Tom Binns ) created to celebrate this punk night!

Red Carpet Forecast Cannes 2013

L'edizione 2013 del Festival del Cinema di Cannes si terrà dal 15 al 26 maggio e il regista americano Steven Spielberg presiederà la giuria!
Il Festival è punto di attrazione per nuovi film provenienti da tutto il mondo che attraggono emergenti e famosi redattori cinematografici, uomini d'affari e centinaia di critici cinematografici.
Sebbene i titoli dei film non siano stati ancora svelati, è stato rivelato che "Il Grande Gatsby" aprirà la prima serata (Leggete il mio post sul film qui: http://thepeacocksvoice.blogspot.com/2013/02/the-great-gatsby-at-dsquared2-catwalk.html)
Vi propondgo il mio set che anticipa uno dei possibili look che vedremo sul red carpet della riviera francese!
Spero proprio che questo abito di Giambattista Valli verrà indossato da una delle attrici o celebrità che verranno immortalate durante le serate del Festival!
Il tulle, il pizo ed il drappeggio rendono questo vestito assolutamente fantastico!
I sandali Christian Louboutin hanno un piccolo fiocco dietro all'allacciatura ed hanno la stessa sfumatura di rosso dell'abito.
La clutch è leggermente diversa, non volevo usare un unico colore e per questo ho puntato sul classico nude per evitare pesantezza all'outfit ma scegliendone una con brillanti borchie dorate firmata Valentino.


The 2013 Cannes Film Festival will take place from May 15 to 26 and American film director Steven Spielberg will preside the Jury!
The Festival is a major showplace for new movies from around the world that attracts top and emerging screen writers, deal-makers and hundreds of film critics.
Although the names of the films in competion haven't been reveled yet, it's just been said that The Great Gatsby will open the first night! (see my previous post about the film here:

Here's my set forecasting one of the outfit which will be seen on the red carpet of the French Riviera!
I really hope to see this Giambattista Valli dress worn by one of the actresses and celebrities who will be there!
The tulle, the lace and the drapes make it absolutely stunning!
The Loubotin peep toe sandals have a cute bow behind the tie and they have the same red shade of the dress.
The clutch is a bit different, i didn't want to use just one colour so I added the classic nude to avoid heavyness with a bit of sparkling gold studs .
