Abito d'oro 2012

Il Pallone d'oro FIFA 2012 è stato assegnato il 7 Gennaio 2013 a Zurigo a Lionel Messi (Barcellona) che vince per la quarta volta consecutiva il trofeo di miglior calciatore del mondo e a 25 anni supera i precedenti primati di tre vittorie di Johan Cruijff, Marco Van Basten e Michel Platini. Al secondo posto si è classificato Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) e al terzo posto Andrés Iniesta (Barcellona).

Per questa occasione, il vincitore, Lionel Messi ha indossato un abito Dolce&Gabbana.  
Gli stilisti Domenico e Stefano hanno infatti creato per lui un tuxedo con papillon in seta nera a pois bianchi.  
Questo abito ha una curiosa somiglianza con quello già indossato una volta dal suo principale sponsor e mentore, Diego Armando Maradona.

Il secondo classificato, ma non secondo nel vestire, Cristiano Ronaldo ha indossato per l’occasione un elegante tuxedo nero con rifiniture in raso creato appositamente per lui dagli stilisti della Maison e ispirato ad un modello della pre-collezione Dsquared² classic 2013, abbinato ad una camicia classica bianca e papillon nero. Scarpe e cintura di vernice completavano il look.

 Si è tenuta quindi una grande sfida non solo sul campo, ma decisamente anche fuori, che forse avrebbe avuto esito differente...

Golden Ball FIFA 2013 Award was given to Lionel Messi (Barcelona) in Zurigo on the 7th of January 2013.
This is the fourth time he has won the award for best player in the world and, at the age of 25, he has already beaten the previous records of Johan Cruijff, Marco Van Basten and Michel Platini. 
Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) ranked second and Andrés Iniesta (Barcelona) ranked third.
For this occasion, the winner, Lionel Messi wore a Dolce & Gabbana suit.
The stylists of the brand, Domenico and Stefano created a customized tuxedo for him accessoried with a black silky papillon with white spots.
This suit looks a lot like the one once worn by Messi's biggest sponsor and mentor, Diego Armando Maradona.
The second ranked, but not for his outfit, Cristiano Ronaldo wore a black tuxedo with satin finish, tailored for him by the stylists of the famous Maison and inspired by a Dsquared² suit of the 2013 classic pre-collection.  Matched with white shirt and black papillon, the look was completed by glossy shoes and belt.

 In the end, we can definetely say that it wasn't just a football contest! The award for smartness and elegance would have probably had another winner.
